Arkansas State Parks
A lot of Arkansas state parks were built the old way, with stone, timber, and Civilian Conservation Corps sweat, and plenty of that work is still standing. Devil's Den, Petit Jean, Mount Magazine. Cabins on the bluff and trails down to the falls.
Then there's Crater of Diamonds, where you can dig in a plowed field and keep whatever you find. Most folks go home with dirty knees and a good story. That counts too.
